VDOT WILL HOLD ‘PARDON OUR DUST’ MEETING FOR PUBLIC INPUT ON HARDY ROAD PROJECT
Curve realignment work will take place in Lunenburg County

LUNENBURG, Va. – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will hold a “pardon our dust” meeting on a project on Hardy Road (Route 675) in Lunenburg County.

The meeting is scheduled for Jan. 26 at the Lunenburg County Courts Building, General District Courtroom, 160 Courthouse Square, second floor, Lunenburg, Va., 23952. The public may stop by between 6 and 7 p.m. The meeting will be an open house format, providing an opportunity for individuals, businesses or organizations to learn more about the upcoming work.

This curve realignment project on Hardy Road is located between Old Mansion Road (Route 659) and Courthouse Road (Route 49). The project is expected to improve safety in the curve by increasing overall sight distance. The estimated start date is late February and the target completion date is May 2023. Detour signs will be posted.

Questions about the project can be addressed to Susan Warr, area construction engineer, at [email protected] or 804-720-5478.

Anyone requiring special assistance to attend and participate in this informational meeting may contact VDOT’s Civil Rights Division at 804-524-6091 or TDD/TTY 711.
