Overnight Closures of the I-66 West Collector-Distributor Lane at Route 286 (Fairfax County Parkway) and Ramps from Route 286 North and South to I-66 West Planned July 13 and 14

FAIRFAX –The I-66 West collector-distributor lane at Route 286 (Fairfax County Parkway) and the ramps from Route 286 North and South to I-66 West will be closed during the overnight hours on Thursday, July 13, and Friday, July 14, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night to remove barrier. The ramps from I-66 West to Route 286 North and South will not. be affected by the C-D lane closure. This work is being done as part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.

All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled to the following night if inclement conditions occur. 

Thursday, July 13, and Friday, July 14
Ramp from Route 286 South to I-66 West
Ramp from Route 286 North to I-66 West

  • The ramps will be closed both nights from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for barrier removal.
  • Traffic from Route 286 North and South will be directed to I-66 East, exit to Route 50 West, then stay right and follow signs to I-66 West.
