Overnight Closure of Ramp from I-66 East to Washington Boulevard/Lee Highway Planned for Tuesday, Sept. 8, for I-66 Eastbound Widening Project

FAIRFAX – The ramp from I-66 East to Washington Boulevard/Lee Highway (Exit 69) in Arlington is scheduled to close Tuesday, September 8, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for roadway striping and barrier repositioning as part of the I-66 Eastbound Widening Project.

Details include:

Tuesday, September 8
Ramp from I-66 East to Exit 69, Washington Boulevard/Lee Highway (Route 29)
The ramp will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Traffic will be directed to Exit 68, Westmoreland Street, prior to the closure. Traffic will stay to the right on Westmoreland Street, turn left at the stop sign onto Fairfax Drive, then stay to the right to continue on Fairfax Drive to reach Lee Highway.

All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled to Wednesday night, September 9, if inclement conditions occur.
